Consumers know Brown-Forman's Finlandia® Vodka as "the world finest vodka" because it's unsurpassed purity comes from nature itself. Finlandia's flavor portfolio delivers the freshest, most natural and delicate tasting vodka on the market. The brand launched its newest flavored vodka, Finlandia® All Natural Tangerine Fusion in the spring of 2009.
The launch of this new flavored vodka presented the challenge of creating a unique branding element that would generate awareness and trial.
The brand needed a tasting medium that would not only appeal to its target consumer, but also generate excitement and trial among important sales and media partners.
Solution
First Flavor's Peel ‘n Taste® marketing system offered the precise marketing vehicle Finlandia® needed to reach both audiences while conveying the true essence of the product's all natural tangerine flavor and the message behind the product.
Brown-Forman and First Flavor worked together to address this branding challenge by creating a Finlandia® Peel ‘n Taste® sample that was affixed to high-impact direct mail pieces, hand-outs and consumer take-one recipe cards, printed by Vertis Communications. The direct mailers and hand-outs were sent to sales and media partners, while consumer take-one recipe cards were placed at off-premise retail outlets across the United States.
