Boris is founder of SVM Advisors, LLC, a 15 year old boutique technology merchant bank. He raised over $100 million for portfolio companies and other venture funds. He is the former senior executive with SMG, Inc. - named three times to the "Inc. 500" list of fastest growing companies. Boris led the $50 million private equity re-capitalization and exit.
Boris is a co-founder and general partner of MentorTech Ventures, LP, an early stage fund sponsored by SVM and focusing on U of Penn related companies. He is also actively involved in Israeli technology Venture Capital through General Partner ownership in FBR Israel-Infinity II, LP, Infinity I-China Fund, LP, Vintage Ventures, LP, and Plenus Venture Lending Funds. He also has General Partner interest in Rustic Canyon Ventures - a $180M Southern California technology SBIC fund.
Boris serves on the Investment Advisory Committee (14 years) of the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern PA. He is currently involved with several technology companies as an investor and board member: Rainbow Medical, Ltd., Molecular Detection, Inc., GENTIS, Inc., Neuro Diagnostics Devices, Inc, and Sinewave Energy Technologies, Inc.
Boris earned his MBA in finance and strategic planning from The Wharton School. He holds an MSEE from St. Petersburg, Russia.
